How about all the Japanese who were discriminated against during the second world war? how about in all the other countries in all the other parts of the world where one group of people has or does surpress another group of people? You want equality? Good, then make it equal ALL THE WAY AROUND. I am not racist. I have good friends of almost every racial background you could possibly imagine. But for one group to say that they have it harder than any other group, that's fucked up.
Yes, I agree, blacks have been treated badly.. What about Jews? The ones that got gassed during the holocaust? how about the Native Indians, who were repressed in north america LONG before the black slaves were brought over? What about all these other groups of people that have had it hard? It's all fine and well and good to sit and bitch about how hard you have it... until you open your eyes and look around. There is ALWAYS someone who has it worse. People need to stop being so busy bitching about what they DO NOT have, and be grateful for what they DO have. If they want more, they can damn fucking well go out and work for it.
My great grandfather was a poor immigrant. Came here with nothing, didn't even know how to read. Did he sit and bitch and moan and whine and complain? No, he fucking GOT OFF HIS ASS AND TAUGHT HIMSELF, he learned carpentry and ended up making great money and providing very well for his family. Show me a person who says there aren't opportunities out there for people of ALL races, and I'll show you a person who hasn't got off their fucking ass and actually looked. Opportunities are EVERYWHERE, it's up to the person to go out and find them. The world isn't going to hand anything to anyone on a silver platter just because they are born a certain race or whatever, black, white, purple with pink polka dots, green argyle with fuscia hair. Those with the drive and ambition to do so succeed NO MATTER WHAT THEIR BACKGROUND is. Even if they never had a book, or had to share books, no matter WHAT if they WANT to, they can shape their lives, they can TAKE those opportunities, and they can succeed.
I am no racist, but I too feel that people should get what they get not because of WHAT they are racially, gender, whatever, but because they DESERVE it, they've worked HARD for it. Success is color-blind, my dear.

i'm going go go paragraph by paragraph here.
i'm an american, why would i want equality anywhere else but america? i'm not trying to make a perfect world, just a better educated america.
i stated earlier that people other races were fucked by this country, i forgot jews but yes they too were fucked and are still hated to this day.
thats good your grandfather made something of himself, he was given a chance, he had the ability to read yet it was a crime for blacks to be taught to read. not once did i state that i wanted anything given to me, actually i said that i wouldn't take anything if it was given to me for free.
success is colorblind? yea in SOME cases. it's no secret that a lot of people got to where they are by who they knew or the connections their parents knew.
