My mother was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer just last Monday. There are a couple of spots in her lungs and a couple just below her throat. They haven't finished all the testing to know if there is anything else and haven't decided on a course of treatment yet. It's a bad time considering this is my step mother that has been in my life longer than my real mother was. My real mother passed away when I was 6 from pancreatic and lympathic cancer so I didn't know her that well because she had spent the majority of my life in and out of hospitals. She passed away in the 70's two days after Christmas. Now, going into the holidays I am dealing with my other mother and this disease. It's not a fun year.
I'm sorry to hear DCHottie. Cancer of any type is very hard to deal with on all ends. I've lost my grandfather, close friend and my father is having his bi-yearly check up today. My father has bladder cancer in remission, but these bi-yearly check up's are torture.

To anybody with cancer or those dealing with it second hand.. Good luck to you all.
