you can do one with just 2-3k! (and then you'll say your friends how happy you were throwing 2-3k to trash
) or you can start thinking in 5-6k MINIMUM and then planning some cash for the following months, at least 2-3k for the first months until you're on track. Of course, this assuming you've found some good niche to go, if you plan on general teen/hardcore sites with the same content everybody uses you'll need a little more. if you ask me, I'd give you a good niche site (you must suggest it, of course, otherwise I'd do it by myself) with exclusive pix+vids content for something like 8k, and then you'd need to fill it with more non exclusive content, maybe plugins, then add hosting, VISA fees, promotion, etc. Just do the maths. Problem here is that there's always people that says "Hey, throw me a couple of grands and I'll give you a paysite" and they'll prolly do, but it won't worth a dime and you'll end trying to sell it at GFY
