You can always upgrade the machine with the integrated peripherals but your system performance will not be the same as other custom machines. Generally the Dell "cheapies" were built for people who are not power users and are not going to upgrade them so they don't use high-end comonents in them. Whatever the cheapest thing Dell can buy from a manufacturer that is somewhat reliable will go into those computers. You can put in a more powerful video card into it but you will most probably not get the same framerates as you would get from a custom built box that has a higher FSB (Front Side Bus). Next time you order a Dell make sure you choose from their workstation products. They have very nice components in them that are pretty descent for gaming. Or if you have some serious $$$ to burn you could go for their gaming system but I don't know much about that. Or if you want to go over the top crazy you could get an Alienware or a Falcon gaming box.
