I'm still a young guy (22), but after going so many years with a condom while worrying about pregnancy, I can't wait until I am responsible enough to have a kiddo and peel off the shrink wrap!
I haven't used condoms for STD's, as I've only had a couple girlfriends who have both been long term (2 1/2 years for the first, and over 3 with my current gf), but at my age, I'm not quite ready for the child.
I can totally relate to your point of view and I say go for it! You have more than enough money to support the kid and you're a married man!
