Years and yearsa go a roommate and I had that problem... we went out and bought about 20 lbs of incense and burnt it for several days in every room... about 4 sticks in each and kept it going. lol They moved within a month. It bothered us too but we weren't home much after we loaded up the apartment with the smell.
