I'll probably always live with my mom or on the same property. Wherever I go, she goes. So I hope to build 2 houses on the same property one day. She does a lot for me... cooking, cleaning... I'm quite spoiled
But other than that, like Digipimp said above, it's not uncommon to have extended family or be close to your family in other cultures. I'm not close with the rest of my family, because they are selfish and total idiots... but anyway, my mom is my biggest champion.
