Gypsies was a term first used in England to describe a group of peoples that wandered from India, through Eastern Europe and ended up throughout Europe. They were mistakenly beleived to be from Egypt....egypts.....gyps.....gypsies.

so is it offensive to Egyptians, Indians, or that group that wandered Europe, or all three?
