I receive lots of spam in my inbox. When I reported some of these to various sponsors, the reply was kinda "Maybe I subscribed to newsletters and probably I forgot to unsubscribe".
Just that the spam comes from those kinds of email addresses where a reply bounces, or with no unsubcribe link, or if you unsubscribe you get even more spam ... you get the picture.
