I think TGPs are rough on sites with generic content and not a lot of capital, but that is kind of just darwinism. You pointed out that there were plenty of TGP millionaires, but that other people get paid from TGPs too. That is just fact. Nothing wrong with that.
I wanted someone to come up with algebra for what they felt constituted a reasonable test of traffic i.e.:
Site owner knows conversion ratio is 1:100 with site owner's traffic.
Site owner wants to test traffic.
How many theoretical joins worth of traffic should site owner buy in order to do a fair test of whether something is a good traffic source?
100 uniques x ? = test with results which actually indicated worth of traffic
