However, if it is offensive in your local - he is a bad man - your father-in-law! You should explain your child that he is mistaking and that she is an absolutely normal child. And you must talk to your father-in-law. In our country he'd be beated for offensiveness to his grandchild!

I don't understand your culture, then. I was in England for like 2 weeks and no one called me "******" nor did I here it being referenced to any other black person. Maybe I was sheltered but I did the tourist thing and didn't here it anywhere.
