Don't call Acacia!

When served with papers or contacted about a possible legal action, most people's first reaction is to phone the party that is threatening to sue, and argue or try to reason with them. Don't, I repeat DON'T call them. It solves nothing, it serves no purpose, and can often make matters worse for you if you blurt out something you shouldn't.

The first contact letter, especially in the case of Acacia, is commonly called a "tickler", and is designed to see if you will cave in instantly, which is of course what they want you to do. I personally have and will continue to ignore these ones.

If and when actual papers arrive summoning you to a court date, that is the time to let your lawyer(s) do your talking for you. Based on personal experience, I would never under any circumstances call up a legal opponent for any reason, nor would I advise it. I've seen so many people on this board post about how they phoned up Acacia and blasted them.... what has it gotten you? I'll tell you what it got you..... sweet fuck all.

Lastly, donate to the IMPA. There is a link in my sig to do just that.

Thank you,
