You're in a bad spot.
If you tell her it's nothing bad, then she might start calling everyone a ******. The kids she plays with etc. Then again she might just forget the whole thing.
If you tell her it *is* something bad, then her feelings will be hurt and you can bet the next time she's hurt and angry at someone she'll stomp that little foot and scream out that they're a ******.
Maybe you could try telling her he said "knicker" which is something lacy and pretty, and tell her he must've been saying it wrong because of his accent.
