Seriously? Talk to your doctor. There are medicines that can help you. From one you take occasionally when you are doing something like flying on a plane or going to mom's for Christmas, to one you take daily. Or both.
Then it's all about slow exposure. If you can't drive into the city alone. Get in the car and practice driving close to the city. Each time try to go a little further and push yourself just a little bit more.
I had a rough time, but I'm getting better. I still wouldn't say that I'm "cured" but I'm doing a lot more than I was last year at this time. It's a daily thing though. I have to keep reminding myself that I won't die if I push myself. It may be uncomfortable sometimes, but I do posess the tools I need to get through that rough time and next time it will be easier.
