yes, if true that these companies settled for much less than the standard terms given to everyone else it indicates two things to me:

1. that it is a total PR stunt for acacia.
2. that the big adult companies hope it will thin the herd of competing webmasters.


but, on another front, word on the street now is that colleges and universities WILL NOT be settling with acacia.

and when Stanford University (in silicon valley) decides not to settle with acacia (the folks that basically invented the internet) we can begin to see how this will all play out.

i think acacia really stepped on it's dick by trying to extort $ from universities and colleges, Harvard Law School and Stanford, et al.

that decision will bite them in the ass.

and their stock continues to fall.
