I do not make a lot at all in adult, but nor do I care, all I've ever asked adult was to pay for beer and cigarettes, other ventures pay for car/rent payments, other ventures etc. etc. etc.
kinda like diversifying a portfolio for investments, day trading is the next new one . 
some do this some focus on one thing, both should be respected.....

I was in adult for three years before I emerged from my cave to meet other webmasters and post on boards.
I agree. Newbies should not speak until they can:
1. take the heat
2. Gain experience
3. Not lie about what they make per month and not ask what everyone else is making.
I wouldn't want to go back to mainstream for many reasons, not the least of which is the fact that I can work in my jammies and see my honey all day long.
