Although I am taking heat for saying this at least in my result sets several big competitors who were pumping relevancy through anchors are totally gone.
Last night my missing site reappeared in the listings and today I am sitting pretty with a #6 result out of 3,600,000.

Wow.... keywords in anchors are the lifeblood of many of the spammers, so that makes a lot of sense.... which means they will have to do tie in keyword density on linker page and linkee page and ignore the text content of the anchors themselves. This is actually a good thing for increasing the value of image based linking and for legitimate pages with high in-linking.
