For those that have looked into this issue and their personal situation, it is understandable by me that if you choose to settle to protect your business.
I would hope that despite having to settle for business reasons, that you are able to support one or more of the following in private/personal way:
1) Defense Group - money goes towards paying the attorney bills of the 11 defendants really fighting against Acacia
2) IMPA - money goes towards looking after all kinds of important issues to webmasters, including patents
3) FTPF - (pledge only, no money accepted) Money goes towards fighting against patent abuse cases like the ACLU and EFF.org, but ONLY focused on patents. If the pledge goal can be met, then FTPF could be formed and spring into action with the Acacia issue,.
Doing nothing is not option #4.
