depends on what your idea of living like a king is...
to alot of poor westerners here 2k a month is enough to live like a king.... they live cheaply.... i spend about 4k a month here total and consider myself living like a king, phat pad, 5 star restaurants, vip to the swanky clubs, vip massage parlours, 5 star resort getaways, great golf courses, the best whores....
a certain someone i know lives here 10 times more luxuriously than i do, has expensive car, a driver, better view apt, more expensive apart., but same golf places, same whore-places, same restaurants and clubs....
it's all up to you....
my friend who bilks $1500 a month fixed income from his Pizza place in Boston lives cheaply but he loves it.... he'd rather spend 40 cents on a real thai meal on the side of the road with the Thai people.... I'd personally rather go to the grand hyatt for some good filet =)
