AC changed their business model: their right. But...
At close to zero notice, they also retained the recurring income of all the webmasters whom they did not require to be part of this new model. That need not concern anyone who was not directly involved, unless they plan to do business with AC in future.
But there is an extremely dangerous precedent involved that should concern everyone, whether directly involved or not. Namely that 100+ webmasters collaborated with what has happened and helped to make it possible. Without them, AC might have cut and run as other sponsors have, but AC certainly couldn't have carried on with 'business as usual'.
If those webmasters are able to do that with impunity, this could be the start of a trend which absolutely no-one should want to see, whether they were involved with AC or not.
