Ok, so all of a sudden, about 80% of the mpegs I click on over the Web causes Windows Media Player to error. I can download and play the clips no problem, but when I click on them directly to play over the Web, I get this error:

"Microsoft Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I even tried switching computers and switching connections (cable and dsl), but no luck. Not just my servers, but a lot of other peoples' servers.

I'm using Win2k, with all the most current patches/service packs and WMP 9.0 with all the patches.

It's even happening to my friend's computer now.

This is one of the stranges things I have ever encountered. $40 PayPal to whoever helps me fix it. Let me know if you need more info.
