Five times per week is the most you should do, IMHO.

RE: pushups. Sorry to hear about the injury. Those nagging injuries can be a pain in the ass. If your goal is to add muscle, you need to gradually increase weight over time (stronger muscles usually = bigger muscles). With pushups you are limited to your bodyweight. Your reps will increase over time but that doesn't build muscle. You can tone muscle that way.
I don't do abs every day... I do them for 3 days & don't work out at all for a day... and work out for 3 days... and don't work out at all for a day... etc.

I quit lifting weights for a year. I just did push-ups & dips & Cardio. I was up to 600 - 800 push ups a day 2 - 3 times aweek and when I got back to benchpressing again I was pain free till I slept on it wrong and had to go back to push-ups for a month. I maxed out @ 385 in August on flat bench and 275 on incline bench so I'm ready to hit it hard this winter.

Hope you get the time soon to make that site... no-one will believe me when I loose the weight that I was ever big.
