A man from Espelette in the Basque region of France has been shot by his dog as he was driving his car.
The man is being treated at a hospital in Bayonne for leadshot injuries to the hip. The man had left loaded shotgun in the boot of his car, and his dog stepped on the trigger.
"As he was driving along, one of his dogs accidentally set off the gun," said a police official.
