Thanks mike, you know these guys are hard to catch in the act , but i have done some homework , on these scum.
I have been watching a few groups for a while in regards to 3 areas in particular that they are in extreme violation of not only your particular TOS but of the law as well.
You were notified earlier this year in regards to oc violating your code in several different ways. I do understand large hit brokers have certain deals with sponsors that may be different than your average affiliates. Its the source of the hits that is a major concern not the code violations. You may be aware of recent lawsuits regarding the use of WMS and Childrens domains in particular. These areas are of the biggest concern.
This is a very touchy subject, and bound to ruin some days for some people , so i hope you can understand my reluctance to bear the bad news and to spell it out , as there are quite a few unwitting participants in this game that stand to lose money. (cecash included).
When i spelled it out for oc they shifted the blame, and point the finger at 3rd parties, and even with hard proof they still continued to launder the same groups thru oc.
These guys move fast to cover tracks ( starting 5 minutes after my original post ) But they also cant afford to cover all the tracks.
And the proof will be in the pudding.
I dont blame some of these fellows for asking/demanding some hard board proof ! ( easier said than done without giving your game a head start )
I think the big players know and have been looking the other way, or know but dont have the time/clout to combat such a large group.
I had hoped this may be a wake up call for those with not such dirty fingers to take their perverbial hands out of the cookie jar before it falls off the counter.
I will contact you mikeb regarding areas for you to look at, This may take a short while to put together as i dont plan on leaving gray areas or loopholes that can be easily overlooked/explained. This time im going to make sure they dont get an OUT. ( or the several people in this loop i.e. co-operating registrars , hosts etc.)
As far as the rest of you, you fall into 1 of 2 categories.
Those with no involvement ( thus you can disregard this thread completely )
Those with something to lose. ( thus you should keep this thread/topic on the front burner and do as you see fit )
You should see a slowdown in traffic in a few days as icaan starts pulling many of these domains.
As with cp and warez the tentacles run deep and by killing one strand the head barely notices .
I hope to change this a little.
