The smart move would've been to set up a site criticizing Hotmail and all the shit from spammers you get thrown into your inbox, when signing up for a Hotmail account. This would've been completely legal and I'm sure Microsoft would've broken their necks, running to the new domain owner carrying bags of cash. Stupid of him not to think of this...
