Yeah I've said this before but some people disagree... I think it was the Amateur Pages crowd -- they had lots of time to kill with all those click-pic banners up... The "real" amateur sites had their own private "invite only" shit going on... YNOT as far as I know was the first big one -- then I think Condom/Netpond was the biggest, and then GFY game into play... GFY had a big advantage too because it was multi-threaded and very open to the public -- I think YNOT you had to be a member -- it was $50 or $500 to get in? (I'm just guessing -- I never joined) -- and Condom was the same way -- pretty easy to get in, but it wasn't multithreaded at first and that kindof sucked... I liked the vbulletin style because it reminded me of the old BBS days heh... Anyway...
