Hire a pop-rock writer, restrict her to power chords, and hire a skilled trained guitarist for supplimental lines. Get a good producer, and have someone else play her parts in the studio. She'll go far. She just needs a well produced video.
I see what you mean about bringing back old-school rock.. that's cool, but just remember it's all gonna sound like pop-rock. With a good management company behind you, it should be pretty easy to get tour-support... if you even care about that..
even if you have money, I reccommend using tour-support/distro as an excuse for building a relationship with one or more major-labels.
