I like just plain melatonin 3mg tablets with no extras, except for maybe some vitamin b6.
As long as you're going to break canadian law, you might as well get some 5-HTP (hydroxytrpytophan, a precursor to serotonin) too. What really works well for me is to take 50 mg of 5-htp and a 3 mg melatonin about 15 minutes before bed.
When I fly I take 2 3mg melatonin plus 50mg of 5-htp while I'm waiting for the plane to take off. I'm pretty much guaranteed to able to sleep for the majority of the trip with that combo.
There is a company called american nutrition that you can search on google that has both melatonin and 5-htp for pretty cheap.
