They shouldn't be able to charge you for something that people aren't paying you to do, right.
Maybe the costs involved would probably be greater, but it's something to look into if all of this becomes the norm. It'll probably be a way to work around it.
If there's an upsell - your affiliate can get credit for it - but they aren't promoting it.
Got to get this checked by a lawyer but let's say, I'm promoting a site:
anydomainlite.com (pictures only)
and the surfer then decides they want the option of
anydomain.com (pictures&movies) what the implications are for a webmaster/affiliate.
We're promoting the picture site - so the commissions coming from the movies portion can be charged - but not all our sales.
If in fact, they win in court and this will be the norm in paying them any rights, there has to be a way to work so they don't get a chunk of everyones business when it only represents a portion of it........
