Walmart is doing some major things right now and causing major sturs, this is only old news resurfacing from old 1998 crap.

The whole Walmart is non union and hires ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS is one thing.

There are people outside all southern california grocery stores right now holding signs demanding benefits because they are taking 50% of them away because of the new Walmarts etc.

Walmart pays 3 bucks less than regular stores and is KNOWN for hiring illegals, and they do so continually even after their 'body supplier' has been busted for selling illegals.

i never expect people to know current events but I think this one is a bit bigger than most know or have even thought about.

the only reason I have is because I cant go to a grocery store, and havent been able to really grocery shop in like 2 weeks now it seems.

they are protesting WEVERYWHERE.

Again - where in this has Walmart hired these people? Funny how they aren't getting bent out of shape regarding the company who actually HIRED the illegals. Nah, that wouldn't sell as many papers as the name "Walmart" in the same article as "illegal aliens".

And also again, Walmart in my area pays MORE than any other grocery or drugstore (about $.50-$1 an hour more).

Not to mention, we're talking about non-skilled labor here. Just because unions have artificially inflated the payscale of non-skilled labor doesn't mean that someone paying less is wrong.

Unions or the government dictating what businesses should pay their employees is absurd. Would you want laws passed that tell you that you MUST pay your programmer $100K a year because there are programmers making that much?

If Walmart's not paying their employees what the employees think they deserve, the employees will leave and work for someone who pays higher. Welcome to capitalism.
