yea the funny thing is that with programming you really do get what you pay for. if not in quality (as if you are hiring a programmer you probably dont even notice the quality) it is in trust, respect and support.
it is really hard for me to compete in this biz even though i have the years of programmng in this biz under my belt (i started at igallery in 1996) but i have to charge $75 an hour for hourly work whereas you can obviously get it cheaper.
i prefer to go to the retainer basis because what i ifigure i bring to the table is a long lasting relationship where you can trust me to be around in the long run. and if i fuck you over i'm in the industry and so you see me at the shows and you know the people i do so you could destroy me whereas somebody in the republic of georgia you will probalby never see.
