If you feel in your heart you can rebuild the trust and believe she will change then give her another chance.
My experience is that things get better for awhile and then go back to the way they were. If you can sit down with her and both of you discover what caused the relationship to go bad in the first place and agree to correct it then you may have hope.
The fact you have a son with her doesn't really matter you don't want him growing up in an unhappy situation. Kids are pretty smart and he will pick up that you two are not happy.
IMO trust and communication are the two most important things, without that its hard to grow with a person.
