If you have been a smoker, and quit, then you will always be an ex-smoker. Never a non-smoker.
Cravings go away, but temptation will always be there. Problem for ex-smokers is that part of the brain that was activated/damaged when smoking still remembers how good it felt (or how some people say it "how NOT BAD I felt when smoking")
For some this "repair time" takes years to get over, for others only months. Never weeks...
