Think about it. Discrimination against gay people is based on the notion that our relationships are, at worst, just plain wrong, and at best, not as worthy as those of heterosexuals I have been with my boyfriend for 8 years....Why cant we legalize our bond? So that we can be afforded the same opportunities that any heterosexual couple has?
GAY PRIDE is about gays and lesbians seeking the same considerations that are afforded to every other human being including the right to marry adopt children file joint taxes etc.......
Its not about gay rights its about HUMAN RIGHTS
And gay pride is also a commemeration of some people in NY who decided that it was time to stand up and be heard about those rights that were being denied to them because it wasnt socially acceptable....
