I do see your point. The rare times when I do use those words, I use them in my own home and not around my children. I wouldn't use them in public where a gay person might hear it and be offended.
Just remember, the word faggot also means cigarette in some places and also it can mean a bunch of twigs or sticks tied together in a bundle or pieces of iron or steel to be welded into bars. Just like pussy can mean a female cat, bitch can mean a female dog and I've been called both. Hehe.
Believe me, I understand that the word can be used in a bad way and I know that it is terribly offensive and I would never use it that way. Ever. I rarely even use it at all. Maybe twice a year and only when I'm REALLY pissed, I guess. Also, I only use it with people I know and care about but am angry with. I wouldn't use it against a stranger because they might actually think I'm using it to mean homosexual. Everyone I know understands how I use it. And I'm just as likely to call a guy I'm pissed at an asshole, prick or dickhead as I am the f-word.
