this seems like an EXCELLENT reason to use a personal trainer. i know guys who feel like you, but most of them are squatting low enough to destroy their knees enough to need surgery.

besides, if you go to places like beverly hills health and fitness, their trainers are all models and the guys always end up with female trainers. but either way, it makes sense for beginners to protect themselves by learning the moves right from someone who knows - NOT a friend who thinks he knows.
I dont see the purpose for gyms, I mean do you really get your full membership worth. If you buy your own weight and take an hour or more a day you can do it from home. Beside working out with someone elses their routine more the 90% wont work for you..Jusy my
