Woman 'sent child porn to jailed husband'
An Ohio woman has been charged with taking nude photos of her 10-year-old niece and sending them to her jailed husband.
According to an indictment, Linda Conley, 38, of Columbus, took several photos of the child, naked, inside her South Warren Avenue home over a one year period.
Her husband, Russell Conley, is an inmate at the Warren Correctional Institution, reports NBC4.COM.
"Typically in the cases we prosecute involving child pornography are not created by people charged," said Prosecutor Ron O'Brien. "The pornography is obtained by other people on the internet, or downloads."
In court, prosecutors said Conley also took her 10-year-old niece to the prison.
Two women who are related to Linda Conley blame her husband, who allegedly showed the nude photos to other inmates.
An Ohio prisons spokesman said he did not know how the nude photos of the child made it into the prison undetected.
The spokesman added Ohio law allows prisoners to have nude photos of adults, just as long the photos are not provocative. No Polaroids are accepted, and all prison photos must go through the prison mail system first.
