Former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson is taking on KFC calling for an international boycott of the fast-food chain for what she calls the cruel treatment of its chickens.
"If people knew how KFC treats its chickens, they'd never eat another drumstick," Anderson said in a letter sent to company chiefs in Toronto.
KFC has long denied claims that it mistreats chickens. In May, the company said in a news release it would adopt "comprehensive industry-leading guidelines and audits for the humane raising and handling of poultry."
Anderson joined in an international campaign against KFC by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Anderson accused KFC of scalding live birds and using crippling drugs.
