Back in the day we had to know html, do our own graphics, take photos, scan them ( 3 pass scanner!!), do basic commands through telnet, etc...

Figured you did the HTML at the beginning, but the bigger a company gets..the owner (or CEO, etc..) spend more time doing other things and let there employee's they hire do what they were hired for. That seems like common business sense to me.
