Questions:
What type of PC are you running?
How much RAM?
Is you version of Photoshop real and paid for?
How much hard drive space to you have on your computer?
Answer these questions and I know I can help you.
For you guys laughing saying switch to Paintshop Pro, blow me. I have both and use a combination of Fireworks, Photoshop, Imageready and Paintshop Pro all of which I purchased. They are all good depending on what you want to do.
I wonder why Photoshop has been around, what 11 years? Must be something there.

And when I had my same problem, it is on a BRAND NEW computer system, top of the line and stoked for Ram, harddrive space, etc, the errors were not the computer.
There's just something with Photoshop 7 that causes those errors, but the circumstances have to be JUST right.. I never figured out what the "ingredients" of the error were.
