the US stock market is still highly overvalued by historical standards:

it's nice that everyone's feeling good about the stock market right now, but the reason that economies rebound after recessions is that the dead wood is removed and the strong companies have room to grow. that didn't happen.
there's a lot more room right now for the stock market to fall than to grow.
