If I were you, I would take detailed photos of it, including shots out of the frame and of the back and edges, closeup in good light, and ask one of the big auction houses (Sutherby's, etc...), to appraise it for you. It may be junk or it could be very valueble, and if somebody bids on it on ebay, you could potentially lose a lot of money.
