Just some facts kids, call centers are moving to India.
The datalink required is not that expensive. Were looking at $2000 per month for a center of 20-50 employees. Compare the cost of that to hireing the employees in your respective countries.
Australia outbound rates are typicaly AU$17 per hour.
A four hour shift for 40 employees comes to AU$2720 per shift!!
Your looking at $75k+ per month in wages. Even if they have to pay 5 times that much for data theyre still making a huge saving considering they can easily find employees willing to work for a $1 a day.
On average they will do about 6 weeks of accent training and most come out very good at their adopted accents.
This trend is causing problems in both countries because Australia (in this case) is concerned about security because laws regarding handling of credit card numbers/sensitive information is not as stringent/enforced over there and Indian government is quiety concerned by the rising trend of young people working these jobs having to work at 12PM thus becomming and separated from mainstream society.

Fact is, it does happen and it will happen more often as companies realise how much cheaper it is.
