There's a program called called DMailer or something, and it connects to the actual POP server, say mail.west.cox.net, and basically sends a request asking if [email protected] exist on the mail servers! If it does it's a good email - then they might block that, or it will get a no mail box by that name! Had to use it for an old employer!
