I am not able to discuss the middle east prior to Isreal due to the fact that it is irrelavent world powers made that decision (germany was not one of them) The land they live in was never "palestine" there never was a palanstine most palastinians are displaced arabs from various middle eastern countries who many years ago wound up there as refugees.
If homicide bombers stopped that would go a long way in improving the situation there. The Isrealis have the means to defeat the entire Middle east in battle they can cripple thier neighbors. The Hammas believe that they can never be peace as long as Jews live ANYWHERE as do many other muslims.
Certainly you can see that if the rest of the middle east decided to do business with Isreal they would be in a better position. If Isreal had a chance to do the marketing for OPEC how do you think they would do?
