Surely there's more Muslims and probably more Hindu's too.

Ask Colin Powell not me. I considered the US a country open to all relgions until King George was elected. Now it is leaning toward a Christian Facist country and I for one am not too happy about it.
Some of the strongest support for Israel in this country comes from the fundementalist christian community due to their literal interpretation of the bible. Few Jews that I know interpret the bible literally, I personally do not see how you can seeing all the contradictions in both the old and new testament.
I have never been to Israel, I might visit one day but I do not blindly support either side there. I not think I would be very trusting of the Palesintine's when they send suicide bombers and assasins after any civilian target.
The problems are deep seated and will not be resolved by terror from either side; however self defence is different than agressive indescriminant terror from any side.
If the US had a suicide bombing every week or two carried out by terrorist Mexicans, Canadians, Arabs or any other group how do you think our government and people would react?
