It seems a little strange that US state and federal governments are trying to restrict commerce now during tough times.
Anti-spam and anti-telemarketing laws will probably decrease overall tax revenues. That is not what US needs right now. We need money!
Maybe gov officials are looking for scapegoat or someone to point the finger at during these rough economic times.
