I dunno who defines what a Guru is, but I've been programming in PHP since 1996, when it was called PHP/FI and you couldn't use curly braces to wrap blocks. There was no for() because Rasmus said, "Just use while()".

Now we've got over 60k lines of PHP in three applications, Truestats, Mailcluster, and Adcluster, and we're doing three tier design, using XMLRPC for the middleware and Postgres for the backend.
