Sure condoms break... but the spermicide can still be effective, especially when combined with the pill or other forms of contraception. The pill and other similiar methods, I believe are like 98-99% effective when taken properly. A condom isn't a shield of armor and the pill or other like preventions, don't stop STDs... BUT using a combination of both of these, the chances of becoming pregnant are VERY slim. Like I said before, it's either laziness, ignorance or plain carelessness. There's NO excuse for being irresponsible, in this era.
