I shoot at 1600 x 1200 on a 128 Meg card and have never run out of room. But if you're going on vacation, I'd get a 256 or maybe even a 512.

You can figure for a 1600 x 1200 pic in Fine mode it'll take about 1 Meg. So on a 128 you can grab about 128 pics, the same as 3 1/2 rolls of regular film before you need to transfer the files.

Keep in mind Juicy with digital film you have Preview capabilities. So unlike film you don't generate as many wasted shots if you check them as you go.

Normally on regular film if you get 6 out of 36 perfect shots that's great. On digital they all can be perfect. So the productivity is way better and thus you normally won't need much beyond a 128 card unless you got someone willing to pose hundreds of times.

Also, make backup copies of the original raw files. I've had it twice happen where I was editing a pic, messed it up and saved the messed up version overwriting the good one. Now when I upload I store one in an originals folder that never get touched and a duplicate set for printing, editing, etc. Also back everything up onto a CD or such, in case you lose your hard drive, all your pics will be history.
